About Lil' Kidneys
Lil' Kidneys all began when Lily and her family discovered that the dialysis unit at CHEO could use a second plasma exchange machine. Lily has had over 60 treatments on this machine! As a family we began to brainstorm how we could raise money towards the purchase of this machine. The kids enjoy making soaps and we Lil' Kidney Soaps was born! From there family and friends have jumped in with products and future events to help us reach our goal! As we grow and develop as a charity our goals and missions will develop as well to meet the needs of our local pediatric kidney community.

Soap Orders:
Please click on the "order soaps" button at the top of this page. You will be provided with a soap order form. An email will be sent when your order is ready for pick up in the West end of Ottawa. Shipping is available, if you select shipping your order will be shipped by Canada Post and a revised total with shipping costs will be emailed to you prior to your order being shipped. Sensitive Skin Soap
Natural SLS Free Soap Base is free from foam boosters such as SLS and SLES. Scent free. This soap is cloudy and can have a mottled appearance. Glycerin, a natural emollient, is included to draw moisture from the air to benefit skin.
Goat's Milk Soap
Goats milk is naturally high in vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in butterfat, which makes it the perfect moisturiser. Vitamin E, which is beneficial to the skin, is found in abundance in this soap. It has a creamy smooth texture that is nourishing for the skin and makes a fabulous moisturiser. Glycerin, a natural emollient, draws moisture from the air to the skin.
Soap varieties are offered with or without the mica powder as a colourant. At present, none of our soaps contains dyes or added fragrance.

Mica Powder as a colourant
Our coloured soaps have added Mica powder to give them colour. Mica powder comes from naturally occuring Mica. It adds a colourful shimmer to the soaps. It is common in cosmetics adding the "frost" or "shimmer". While Mica dust, like many things, shouldn't be inhaled, it is very safe in soap. We take good care not to inhale it when adding it to the soaps.
